Here’s your chance to own a sweet 64 F100. This truck started its life as a concept drawing by Jimmy Smith, hot rod illustrator/artist. He designed and built this for himself. The truck has been in a couple of tech articles for Classic Trucks magazine, as well as a feature shoot when it was in bare metal. It has won the Suede and Chrome award and Garage Grown at Good Guys shows. Jimmy spent a ton of hours mapping out the stance and wheel placement for that just right look. The front suspension has been moved forward 3 inches, the rear is moved forward an inch as well as the bed. The truck is shot with Squeeg’s Kustom’s epoxy red oxide primer and striped by numerous renowned pin stripers. There is striping on the front fenders, the hood, the dash, the tailgate and the front tank. It would take minor body work and this truck would be ready for the shiny stuff. Chassis is almost all new. The original rails from the front bumper to a foot or so behind the cab are that’s left of the original frame, everything else is professionally fabbed. Torsion bar Chrysler front end with 11 inch power disc brakes. Tube x member with drop out tranny mount, newer urethane mount. The x member ties into the rear suspension which is z’d 2×6 into 2×4 square tube rails grafted into stock rails. Industrial Chassis did almost all the work on the chassis including the triangulated, urethane bushed 4 bar rear suspended by an adjustable transverse leaf. The axle is a Ford 8 inch. I think it has 2.90 gears. They are definitely tall and cruises down the road. It has a 351CΒ and runs STRONG. A rebuilt, kitted C6 and a new custom drive shaft. A newer Edelbrock water pump, intake, and carb. Custom headers and exhaust tips by Jimmy. ET 5 spokes in front and American straight spokes in back. Vintage sprint car steering wheel and nostalgic dragster puke tank up front. Econoline headlights and bezels. Genie nostalgic shifter. new So-Cal front bumper. The speedo works. It needs other gauges but all the wiring is there and tucked up underneath ready. New wiring harness. Heater works killer. Defrost would work with a little duct work. Dynamat interior. Quality carpet kit installed. Stereo sounds great. 2 6×9’s, cd player, amp, and 1 12″ subwoofer behind the seat. Seatbelts are solid. All the glass is nice. Rubber seals are good.
